Setting the Trend in Teacher Training

What separates the Diwa Textbook Educators’ Forum (DTEF) of DLSI apart from other educational activities is that it caters to a wholistic approach in building up the morale and skills of our educators.

The plenary sessions in the beginning are headed by top caliber speakers such as Bong Saquing of Themes and Dreams, Dr. Onofre Pagsanghan of Ateneo, Bernard Canaberal of Family Rosary Crusade Inc and our very own Jose Ma. Policarpio of iDiwa.

Saquing, Pagsanghan and JTP extoled the teaching profession in DDN Laguna’s DTEF last December 10 at St. Michael’s College of Binan while the tandem of Canaberal and JTP brought laughter and tears to DDN-Cavite’s 500 participants last January 14 at Divine Word College of Legaspi City.

Subject-specific utility seminar-workshops on effective teaching strategies comprised the afternoon session.  From 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, DTEF-Laguna had 14 utility seminars and DTEF-Cavite had 12.  In observance of the overall theme, “ICT and Values: Achieving the Perfect Balance”, all DTEF facilitators used power point presentations and group activities instead of the old overhead projectors.

The new year ushers in the DTEF of Davao and Bulacan on January 21 and Baguio on January 28.
