Diwa presents eLearning paper “Genyo” at DepED & APEC’s ICT for Education Expo

The event, held at the Hilton Cebu Resort and Spa in Mactan Island, Cebu, was organized to promote APEC's ICT4E initiative, facilitate sharing of experiences and gain support for upcoming ICT4E projects of developing countries. This event is part of the Department of Education's campaign to promote the use of ICT in the classroom.
An eLearning paper entitled “Issues and Challenges in Implementing an Online Learning Management System for Basic Education in the Philippines” was presented by Mr. Jose Maria Policarpio, Executive Director of Diwa Learning Systems Inc (DIWA). He shared updates and innovations in classroom technology, particulary, the Genyo Online Learning Management System. Genyo contains well-designed course contents, covering the five major subjects of English, Math and Science, plus Filipino, Hekasi and Araling Panlipunan.
Genyo provides students a truly wonderful multi-media experience with interactive quizzes, charts, colorful graphics, animations, video and audio clips. Genyo also has portals for real time chat or graded debates on various topics that can be moderated by the instructors or initiated by the students themselves. Sharing of ideas can go on and on, unhampered by limited discussion time or by sheer shyness on the part of the students.
