This year, St. Paul University Philippines joins the rest of the forward looking schools in the country and the rest of the world who have turned to technology to enhance delivery of school lessons and to make sure they connect with their students.
This is through a partnership with Diwa Learning Systems, the leading educational resource provider in the country, which have been helping schools leap to 21st century learning through its slew of products and services under its "Superior Learning Experience."
Genyo is a revolutionary basic education product, which is developed in partnership with Marshall Cavendish Online of Singapore. It features well-designed course contents covering five major subject areas: English, Math and Science, plus Filipino and Araling Panlipunan.
Because Genyo is delivered online, the classroom is virtually anywhere. Students can log in anytime to do some advanced readings or catch up on previously discussed lessons inside the classroom.
The e-learning program also facilitates interaction and collaboration between teachers and students, and even parents, as they are better involved in their children's education.
The university, which celebrated its centennial in 2007, was founded by sisters of St. Paul of Chartres, four French and one Chinese nun. It is one of 42 schools owned, managed, and operated by the Sisters of St. Paul of Chartres in the country. It became St. Paul College of Tuguegarao in 1949. The school was granted university status by the Philippine government in 1982. In 2002, the university was granted Full Autonomy Status by the Philippine Commission on Higher Education(CHED).
