Diwa Partners Anew with PNU for ICT Integration in Education

Diwa strengthens its commitment  to lead ICT integration in Philippine education.  The country's leading educational publisher, which is celebrating its 25th year, continues its support to the Philippine Normal University in promoting superior learning though a perfect e-learning environment.

Diwa Learning System is the producer of Genyo e-learning management program, which recently launched its 5th generation, the first online learning available for Philippine elementary and high school students.

Philippine National University (PNU) high school students are given free access to this cutting edge e-learning program, the same tool being used by most schools in Singapore and known for producing quality graduates ready for the global arena.  Singapore is a top performing country in the Trends in Mathematics and Science Survey (TIMMS) where the Philippines displays dismal performance.  With Genyo 5, both PNU and Diwa anchor their hopes for students to equal Singapore's performance in the field.

With the free access to Genyo version 5, PNU high school teachers are also given free training on e-learning technology to enable them to effectively use or teach with this e-learning program.

Aside from the partnership with the high school department, Diwa also provides an e-learning internship program to the Education graduates of the university.

Successful candidates will be given incentives like a fair monthly allowance, trainings in ICT and e-learning integration in basic education; membership in various e-learning institutions and associations; exposure to the best e-learning practices in the Philippines and Singapore and a chance to travel to key cities in the Philippines.  Interns will be tasked to become the in-house e-learning resource persons of private schools, administrators, teachers and students.

The partnership of Diwa and PNU in ICT integration started with Diwa's donation of computer laboratory with Genyo e-learning program installed last year. For information about Genyo, log on to
