Colegio de San Juan de Letran, A Genyo School

Once it opens its door for school year 2007-2008, all 22 classrooms of its high school department will be equipped with computers, LCD projectors, and projection screens. This setup will be comparable to the classrooms found in schools of developed countries such as Japan, Korea, and Singapore. It will create the most conducive environment for e-learning for the teachers and students, and even for the school administrators and parents.

Through this bold initiative, each classroom can take full advantage of the various features of Genyo, the country’s first fully integrated e-learning solution provided by Diwa. For instance, the colorful and animated graphics in Genyo will give Biology students a much closer look at the human cell. Students wanting to enrich their vocabulary skills will be able to do so through the Word of the Day, while Mathematics enthusiasts can answer interactive simulations and challenging exercises and quizzes online.

Aside from providing the Genyo e-learning package and computer-equipped classrooms, Diwa will also give Colegio de San Juan de Letran access to an online resource center through the website www.genyo.com.ph, as well as ICT-strategic management services, network consulting, and technical support. Diwa will also conduct extensive teacher trainings to the faculty to transform them into “tech-savvy” educators and make them responsive to the demands of the information age.
