JULY 2011 – Immaculate Heart of Mary College-Parañaque (GS and HS) teachers have shown their exemplary skills in the integration of ICT in their classes through the school’s newest addition to its wide array of instructional resources, Genyo E-Learning.
With the aim of fully maximizing the use of Genyo along with the laboratories, an activity for the teachers was implemented to showcase their ICT skills in the integration of new technology in their classes. Through the collaboration of IHMC administrators and Diwa Learning Systems Inc, the activity called “Demo Fest: Genyo Classes through Frontal Delivery” was pushed through. This activity provides a training ground for the teachers to become adept to the new approach of incorporating technology in classes.
The Demo Fest was conducted for two weeks at the Grade School and High School Genyo Laboratory. Teachers really showed how interested they are in preparing e-lessons using the Genyo Portal. This was indeed an accomplishment in such that utilizing Genyo through Frontal Delivery would definitely jumpstart the interest of the IHMC teachers in integrating technology in their lessons.
At the end of the Demo Fest, two teachers were given recognition for showing a commendable performance in integrating the use of Genyo. Last September 23, 2011, the GTech Savvy award was given to Agnes Sara of Grade School Department and Carlo Victorio Galag of the High School Department. Both teachers received a certificate and a token for their creditable utilization of Genyo in their classes.
