August 26, 2011 – This date marked the day of a new form of writing for Divine Light Academy- Molino. 16 budding writers tried their luck and joined the online essay writing contest entitled “Timpalak sa Pagsulat ng Sanaysay- Teknolohiya at Ako Bilang Kaisa sa Pagtaguyod ng Wikang Filipino”.

As part of the celebration of Buwan ng Wika, Genyo e-learning and DLA – Molino’s Filipino Department headed the said program to enrich and widen the students’ knowledge about the Filipino Vocabulary in accordance to its vision of providing an avenue for the students to showcase their writing prowess and draw out their opinions regarding a timely issue in the vernacular language. The program also aims to make the students realize the essence and importance of Information Technology in promoting the Filipino language.

16 students from first year to fourth year level competed to gain the top three spots in the said essay writing contest. They were given an hour to put their ideas into paper and upload them inside the Genyo portal using one of Genyo’s amazing features, the Offline Homework.

The entries were judged by HS teachers Mr. Aris Medina, Ms. Rose Latorre, and Ms. Garland Villadiego. After the thorough judgment, three students from different levels bagged the awards.
