GENYO boosts Consolinians’ writing prowess
9/13/2011
In celebration of Buwan ng Wika, the Filipino Department in cooperation with GENYO conducted an activity called “Timpalak sa Pagsulat ng Sanaysay” at La Consolacion College - Pasig held last August 23 and 24, 2011.

Budding writers from Grades 4 – 6 and 1st – 4th year HS set aside their pen and papers and opted to share their insights online through the use of GENYO Offline Homework.

The theme for the essay writing contest is, “Teknolohiya at Ako Kaisa sa Pagtaguyod ng Wikang Filipino: Ating Ilaw, Lakas sa Tuwid na Landas.” The participants were in awe after the theme was revealed; it seems like they all had their minds boggled as random thoughts run in their heads. The students carried a lot of great ideas that the judges had a difficult time deciding who should bring the bacon home.

The awarding was held last Sept 7, 2011. La ConsolacionCollege – Pasig Principal Ms. Josephine Palma headed the awarding ceremony. For the Grade School Category, Frances Angela Chuquico of VI-Charity won third place, Trishia Mhae Baldoz of VI-Loyalty placed second, and Maurene Angela Solidum of V-Prudence bagged the first place. For the High School Category, Dennise Ann Dela Cruz of III- St. John ranked 3rd, preceded by Ella Fareena Carlos of IV-St. Augustine and Lionell Trinidad of II-St. Claire won first place.

Apart from the interactive tutorials and modules available in the system to enhance the learning of the students, Genyo also aims to heighten the quality of education with its different plans and programs prepared all throughout the school year. Genyo provides an avenue for the students to express their inmost talents, skills and outstanding intelligence in their own creative ways.
