First Asians participate in GENYO Suggestion Contest

 Loaded with healthy tips and booming with unique suggestions, the high school students of First Asia Institute of Technology- Unified School actively participated in “The Healthy You- Best Suggestion Contest” held in FAITH proper last July 25, 2011.

 

With its theme, “Isulong ang Breastfeeding – Tama, Sapat at Eksklusibo”, selected participants from the High School department enthusiastically posted their healthy suggestions in Genyo’s Online Suggestion Box with the hope of earning the judges’ votes and voicing out their individual healthy suggestions to a wider audience. Their entries mainly focused about promoting breast-feeding into the community, along with its pros and cons.

 

“The Healthy You- Best Suggestion Contest” was conducted as part of the school’s yearly Nutrition Month celebration. The contest encouraged students to come out of their shells and to focus their attention on the importance of informed choices and developing sound eating and physical habits.

 

The contest was judged by Mr. Daloy Austria (TLE teacher) and Ms. Andrea Flores (English teacher). Mr. Austria and Ms. Flores critically evaluated each entry following the established criteria.

 

In the end, three outstanding students emerged victorious. Charlene Kaye S. Haresco from 1- St. Francis bagged the 1st place, Jethro Carlo V. Yabut of 1- Dominic Savio got the 2nd place and Kenrick Paul P. Buduan of 1- St. Lorenzo Ruiz ranked third. All of the winners received medals and certificates of recognition.
