Last August 1, 2011, Divine Light Academy – Las Pinas stepped forward and moved ahead of the pack through its very first Online Student Election using its latest partner in learning, Genyo e-Learning system. The said election was successfully implemented through the collaboration of the Genyo team and the energetic teachers of Divine Light Academy – Las Pinas.

The election was held in four venues: Com Lab 1, Com Lab 2, Com Lab 3 and the dedicated Genyo laboratory. To ensure a smooth flow of the election, four representatives from the Genyo team were assigned in every computer laboratory and selected students also acted as COMELEC representatives.

The election was carried out using Genyo’s fascinating feature, the Online Survey. The students veered away from the traditional voting and went automated in choosing their next student leaders.

While the election is still ongoing, the Partial and Unofficial result of the online election was flashed at the school’s gymnasium. Positive feedbacks regarding the easy tracking of results were reaped, with students and teachers saying that, “the results were easily generated in a click of a button.” The following day, the newly-elected set of Student Council Officers was announced.
