Embracing Innovation: San Sebastian Goes Automated for 2011
7/22/2011

Change has really been embraced by the SSC-R Grade School department when it comes to the integration of technology in their Educational system. For the month of June, the school had their very first Online Election of Class Officers through its partner in Education, the Genyo e-Learning program.  With the support of the administration, class advisers, and the active participation of the students, the said program was implemented successfully.

Both teachers and students were all excited to know the new set of officers for Academic Year 2011-2012. Good news is that they don’t need to wait too long, since results were generated in just one click of a button. Through the wonders of technology, the results were delivered without a trace of difficulty.

There was a tie between some contenders but a meeting with the advisers and the Coordinator for Academics was arranged at the Genyo Computer Lab straight away to resolve the issue.

With an innovation such as an Online Student Election, the school was able to save time from manually counting the results of the election. Trees were saved as well in such that no paper was used during the whole course of the election.

The Online Student Election proves that apart from the integration of ICT in regular classroom instruction, Genyo can also be advantageous in a number of ways through its world-class features.
