High tech teachers to be recognized Diwa Learning Systems, the country's leading educational publisher and the company behind Genyo E-Learning Management Program, announces this year's search of notable high tech teachers in its "Gawad Genyong Guro" recognition program.
The search is on for teachers who are adept in teaching using ICT particularly in the usage of Genyo E-Learning Program, which the company believes are beneficial modes of capturing and retaining the attention of our new breed of learners.
The award is part of Diwa Learning Systems efforts to lead the way in ICT integrated education. For the past 25 years, Diwa has been trailblazing innovation in supplemental education to upgrade education in the country.
Produced in partnership with Learning Edvantage of LEAD, Singapore's biggest e-learning provider, Genyo E-Learning Management Program uses creative and multi-media content such as interactive quizzes, charts, colorful graphics, animations, video and audio clips. It also has real time chat or graded debates on various topics that can be moderated by the instructors or initiated by the students themselves so sharing of ideas will no longer be hindered by limited discussion time or by a student's natural shyness. Teachers can also load lesson plans, reading materials and reference links for students to be more prepared and do well in recitations and exams. Both parents and students can view various materials submitted online and the corresponding grades given. School administrators are also able to monitor at any given time the teachers' preparedness and ability to draw out the students' interest on their respective subjects.
